What type of theater is the VCP?
Yes! The VCP provides several opportunities for members of the community to share their talents with others and to learn and grow through the experience. Feel free to contact us with details about your experience.
Yes! Local playwrights are very welcome at the Valley Center Playhouse. Many have had their start here. The upcoming season is usually planned during the last few months of the year. Any submitted scripts will be reviewed and if they fit within the family friendly requirement, will be considered for our stage. If you wish to list your play on our scripts page, we will willingly post it for you for free.
How do I volunteer at the theater?
Simply contact us to let us know how you would like to become involved. There are several opportunities at the theater on the stage and behind the scenes. Any and all support is welcome and it is a wonderful opportunity to learn the ropes and give back to your community.
Do you rent the theater and/or costumes?
On rare occasions costumes and props have been rented but it is not a standard practice. The theater itself is rarely rented out as well, but if you want to ask, you can contact the owners Keith and Jody Renstrom at 801.224.5310.
Do you have acting or theater classes?
The VCP has offered theater classes in the past and may again in the future but they are not offered at this time.
The Valley Center Playhouse seats 169 people.
What type of theater is the VCP?
The Valley Center Playhouse is a live theater in the round. The audience sits on all sides of the stage as they watch the actors right before them. It is a wonderful experience for the actors and the audience to be so close and involved. The scenes are brought to life right before you.
